Suwanee, GA

Anxiety & OCD Therapy for Suwanee.

(family-friendly town. still allowed to be struggling.)

Suwanee to my Alpharetta office is usually around twenty five to thirty five minutes, and it is a fairly pleasant drive if you go outside of peak hours. The office is at 290 S Main St, Suite 200 in downtown Alpharetta. Parking is easy, the building is quiet, and you can be in and out on a lunch break if the timing works.

If it does not work, telehealth is available anywhere in Georgia. For a lot of Suwanee families the video option is what makes therapy possible at all, because the alternative is adding another drive to a week that already revolves around driving.

What I treat: high-functioning anxiety, social anxiety, panic, OCD with ERP, couples with EFT, teens, and SPACE for parents of anxious children and teens.

Suwanee specifically

Why people from Suwanee reach out.

Suwanee is a family town. That is the honest summary and it is most of what shapes the calls I get from here. Lots of young families, lots of parents deeply involved in school and sports, lots of weekends structured around somebody's schedule that is not yours.

The anxiety I see out of Suwanee frequently arrives disguised as logistics. You are not sleeping, but you attribute it to the schedule. You are snapping at people you love, but you attribute it to being busy. You cannot remember the last time you did something that was not in service of somebody else's calendar, and the idea of taking an hour a week for therapy feels self indulgent in a way you would never apply to a friend.

The other half is the kids. Youth sports culture is strong here, and I see a lot of teens whose entire identity is fused to performance. When that goes well it looks like ambition. When it goes badly it looks like a fourteen year old with a stomachache before every game, a perfectionist who physically cannot start homework, or a kid who has begun opting out of things quietly enough that nobody caught it for months.

For younger kids, or for a teen who flat out refuses to see a therapist, SPACE is often the better door. I work with the parents on how you respond to the anxiety, and the child's symptoms improve without the child ever having to be the one in the room. It is not a workaround, it is an evidence based approach, and it is a relief for parents who have been told their only option is convincing a kid who will not be convinced.

Nothing here requires a crisis. If it has just been going on too long, that is a good enough reason.

Who I actually see

Grown-ups who look fine and are quietly not.

  • Parents with nothing left

You are running the household, the calendar and everyone's emotional weather. We look at what is actually driving the exhaustion.

  • Teen athletes and high performers

Perfectionism, pre-game panic, and the fear that slowing down means losing your spot. Practical work, no lectures.

  • Families using SPACE

Parent-led treatment for child and teen anxiety. It works through you, so a reluctant kid does not stop progress.

  • Couples in the busy years

You are good teammates and terrible at being a couple right now. EFT gets underneath the logistics.
