Duluth, GA
Anxiety & OCD Therapy for Duluth.
(privacy matters here. i get it.)
Duluth is a straightforward drive to my Alpharetta office, generally twenty to thirty minutes depending on which side of town you start from and what Peachtree Industrial is doing that afternoon. The office is at 290 S Main St, Suite 200, in downtown Alpharetta, with easy parking and a waiting area you will not have to share awkwardly.
If the drive is the reason you have not started, take it off the table. Secure telehealth is available anywhere in Georgia, and for anxiety and OCD work specifically it holds up extremely well. Some of the most effective exposure work I do happens in the client's own kitchen, over video, where the trigger actually lives.
My focus is narrow on purpose: anxiety, OCD, panic, social anxiety, couples work with EFT, and teens.
Duluth specifically
Why people from Duluth reach out.
Duluth is one of the most culturally diverse parts of metro Atlanta, and that shapes what walks into my office. A meaningful number of the people who reach out to me from this area are navigating therapy for the first time in a family or a community where mental health is not discussed openly, or where seeking help reads as a failure of character rather than a reasonable thing an adult might do on a Tuesday.
If that is you, I want to say plainly: you do not have to explain or defend that to me, and I am not going to ask you to announce this to anyone. What you do here is yours. Discretion is not an add-on service, it is just how this works.
I also see a lot of first generation and second generation adults from this area carrying a very particular flavor of anxiety, the kind that comes from being the one who is supposed to make the sacrifice worth it. That produces world class performance and a bone deep fear of disappointing people. It responds well to treatment, and it is rarely the thing people open with.
Beyond that, the ordinary stuff. Gwinnett professionals who are excellent at work and cannot turn their brain off at night. Parents worried about a teenager who has stopped going out. Adults with OCD who have spent years assuming that what happens in their head is too strange to say out loud, and who are usually relieved to find out it is one of the most common presentations I treat.
You do not have to be at your worst to start. Most people I work with are managing fine and are tired of the price.
Who I actually see
Grown-ups who look fine and are quietly not.

First-time therapy clients
You have never done this and are not sure it is for people like you. We go slow, and I will explain exactly what we are doing and why.
-
Adults with quiet OCD
Intrusive thoughts, mental checking, reassurance seeking. ERP is the treatment, and none of it will shock me.
-
Gwinnett professionals
Composed all day, wired at midnight. Practical CBT and nervous system skills you can use inside a workday.

Teens 13 to 17
Anxiety and OCD in teens who are done with cheerful adults and worksheets. I talk to them like people.
