If you are coming down GA-400, you are looking at roughly twenty to thirty minutes outside of rush hour, and honestly more than that if you try to make a five o'clock appointment on a weekday. I schedule with that in mind, and I would rather give you a mid morning or early afternoon slot than have you arrive already activated from the drive. The office is at 290 S Main St, Suite 200 in downtown Alpharetta. Parking is straightforward and you will not be circling. If the commute is the thing standing between you and starting, secure telehealth is available anywhere in Georgia and it is the same work, not a downgraded version of it. I focus almost entirely on anxiety and OCD: high-functioning anxiety, social anxiety, panic, intrusive thoughts, couples work with EFT, teens, and SPACE for parents of anxious kids. Forsyth County has grown fast, and a lot of the people I hear from moved here in the last several years. That combination, a newer community and a lot of transplants, produces a specific kind of pressure. You bought into a place because of the schools and the space and the sense that it would be calmer. Then you got here and discovered that your anxiety travels. The academic intensity in Forsyth schools is real and it is talked about openly by parents here. I see the downstream version of that in my teen clients: kids who are performing well by every external measure and are genuinely miserable about it, who cannot start an assignment because it might not be good enough, or who have started avoiding class presentations in a way that is quietly becoming a bigger problem each semester. I also hear from a lot of parents in Cumming who are not looking for therapy for themselves, they are looking for something to do about a child who will not attend school, will not eat at a friend's house, or needs constant reassurance before bed.
